I used to do a lot of trend cautions, but have kind of stepped back. I suppose it's partially because I'm frequently a late adopter of new trends, but it's also because I'm trying to focus on additional basics and versatile clothing.Snakeskin patterns have become increasingly popular in the last year or so. Do we owe T. Swift anything? Not sure, but I've always been a fan of a good genuine snake skin leather!

Ron and I gutted out our closets with the Kon Marie system this past January, and one of the numerous effects I got relief from was a brace of snake print apartments. They were from Target, and I'm pretty sure I've had them since 2008 or something. I still wore them occasionally, but they were pretty beat up (you know, 10 times of beating! ), so I got rid of them. Having said that, I enjoy a good snake skin because they are fun neutrals. I'm not sure it'll get as popular or as iconic as leopard print, but it's for sure on its way. In numerous ways, I’d say genuine snake skin is more professional than leopard spots. It's generally more adulterated than a print and can slip by (pun intended). Because snakeskin is trending right now, there are actually a lot more options and color pops than usual, which is super fun! As previously stated, it is primarily a new neutral that will go with everything. I suppose my favorite pair of shoes are these mules, but these slide sandals are cute too! As of late, I don’t really wear super loud colors, but I love this green snake print blouse that also comes in a skirt and dress! Also, I'm not really a belt bag person, but I love this one.. It's so adorable.
